Home to the world famous Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, this field offers over 45 acres/18 hectares of  mowed grass panels and asphalt surfaces.  All types of flatland RC soaring, including F3J, F3K, F5J, ALES and F3RES, are flown here for a world-class experience.  The Albuquerque Soaring Association flies here most mornings throughout the year.  Flying may be preempted by special events. Drive-in access is by gate-keycard access, available for $20/yr. AMA membership is required. The park is convenient to I-25 on the north edge of Albuquerque. Restroom facilities are available.  No overnight parking or camping inside grounds.  Park is close to food/gas/lodging. Driving on the grass is strictly prohibited. 

From the north:  Take I-25 south to exit 234 Roy Rd. /Tramway Rd.  At stoplight, cross Roy Rd. and continue on S Pan American Freeway (I-25 frontage road) for 0.2 mi. Turn right onto Balloon Fiesta Parkway.  Continue for about 0.8 mi to Entrance gate 3. 

From the south:  Take I-25 north to exit 234 Roy Rd. Tramway Rd.  Turn left at stoplight, continuing through the under pass to next light, turning left onto S Pan American Freeway (I-25 frontage road) for 0.2 mi. Turn right onto Balloon Fiesta Parkway.  Continue for about 0.8 mi to Entrance Gate 3.  

If gate is closed, drivers may enter Green Gate 2 and park as close to pedestrian entrance as possible.  

Daily glider flying is usually held at the center east panel, designated D4.  Sanctioned contests are usually held on the north central grass panel, designated D6.
